Digitec to implement full Technique Print MIS

Digitec, the digital printing division of the Garnett Dickinson Group, has announced further investment in a print management information system supplied by Technique MIS.

The solutions from Technique form part of an overall £20m investment by the Group in 'state of the art' technologies at the new plant. The system utilises complete browser based applications for real time commercial activities, through to order processing and print estimating.

Joel Dickinson (Operations Director) says: "Technique have proven that they have an excellent solution for our web-offset business. We were delighted after evaluating the market to find that Technique also has the best solution for our rapidly expanding Digital printing company. The introduction of Techniques Print MIS will help with the smooth running of our current Digital operation, which includes HP Indigo 3050, HP Indigo 5000 and KBA Karat 46 & 74 presses"

They continued "Our first priority is to provide customers with high speed, accurate quotations, essential when we are producing and delivering jobs within hours of enquiry. We required a solution that will be equally as responsive and the Technique ‘Quick Pricer' module is just that."
